Philly Cheesesteak Bagel

Ingredients
  • Bimbo® Bagels
  • 450 grams of thinly sliced ​​rib-eye steak
  • 1 teaspoon of salt (divided into 1/2 teaspoons)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of pepper
  • 4 tablespoons of oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 8 slices of provolone cheese
LET’S MAKE IT!

Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add 2 tablespoons of cooking oil.
Season the steak slices with 1/2 teaspoon of salt and pepper.
Cook the steak in the hot skillet until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the strips of red bell pepper and onion. Cook until tender and slightly caramelized.
Take two halves of Bimbo® Bagels and toast them.
Brush a tablespoon of oil on the inside of each bagel half.
Place a slice of provolone cheese on each bagel half.
Divide the cooked steak slices between the bagel halves.
Add the strips of red bell pepper and onion on top of the steak on each bagel half.
Close the bagels and press them together lightly.
Heat a large skillet over medium-low heat and add the bagels. Cook them until the cheese is melted and the bagels are golden brown and crispy.
Remove the bagels from the pan and serve them hot.
